Rose Bath Salts

Jump to Recipe

Whenever I’m in need of some self care, bath salts are my go-to DIY. These Rose Bath Salts are incredibly easy to make and smell absolutely amazing!

Made with pink Himalayan salt, dried rose petals, and rose essential oil, these beautiful bath salts will transform your bath into a calming, rose-scented oasis.

These Rose Bath Salts also make a beautiful homemade gift for friends and family. They’re the perfect DIY for adding some simple luxury to your everyday.

Rose Bath Salt Ingredients

When creating this DIY recipe, I wanted to combine ingredients that were relaxing while also uplifting and nourishing.

This Pink Himalayan salt has anti-inflammatory and skin-calming properties, while magnesium-rich epsom salts promote sleep and stress reduction. Rose contains skin-boosting antioxidants and the scent of rose also relieves stress and anxiety.

Together, this blend of ingredients creates a relaxing, skin-nourishing, and wonderfully aromatherapeutic bath salt blend.

How to Make Rose Bath Salts

For this recipe, we’ll need one cup each of pink Himalayan salt and epsom salts. We’ll mix together the ingredients, then stir in a few drops of rose essential oil.

Next, we’ll add some dried rose petals and rose powder or crushed rose petals. You can buy your rose powder from apothecaries like Mountain Rose Herbs, however, I usually make my own by blending dried rose petals in a blender or food processor until finely ground.

We’ll mix all of the ingredients until well combined, then store in an airtight jar until ready to use.

You can store these bath salts for several months—in fact, I think the fragrance gets even better as they infuse over time!
