Lavender Moon Milk

Jump to Recipe

Made with aromatic, relaxing lavender as the star ingredient, this comforting moon milk is wonderful for winding down before bed. I find this drink very calming as is, but feel free to add a scoop of reishi powder or another sleep-supporting adaptogen to this drink if you’d like a little extra boost!

Lavender Moon Milk

Makes 1 cup of moon milk

Ingredients:

  • 4 oz filtered water

  • 1 tsp dried lavender (food grade)

  • 2-3 dried butterfly pea flowers for color (optional)

  • 4 oz milk of your choice

  • 1 tsp maple syrup

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

To make:

  1. Bring the water up to a boil and pour over the lavender and butterfly pea flowers, if using. Steep for 10-15 minutes, depending on how strong you’d like to drink the be, and strain out the herbs.

  2. Heat the milk in a separate jar, then add the syrup and vanilla extract. Whisk with a fork or milk frother.

  3. Pour the milk over the tea and stir to combine.
