Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie Bowl
This Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie Bowl recipe is one of my go-to summer breakfasts at the moment. It’s the perfect balance of refreshing and sweet, and a delicious way to use up the abundance of local strawberries I’ve been enjoying lately!
(Aren’t these Oregon strawberries gorgeous?!)
Chocolate Strawberry Smoothie Bowl
Makes one bowl
Ingredients:
For the smoothie bowl:
2 frozen bananas
4 oz oat milk
1 tbsp cocoa or cacao powder
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup hulled strawberries, fresh or frozen
Toppings:
sliced strawberries
coconut chips
chocolate granola (such as Trader Joe’s Chocolate Almond Granola Cereal)
To make:
In a blender, combine the frozen bananas, oat milk, cocoa powder, vanilla, and strawberries. Blend on high until smooth until the mixture reaches an ice cream-like consistency. Add a little more oat milk as needed if it’s too thick.
Once smooth, pour the smoothie base into a bowl. Top with the sliced strawberries, coconut, and chocolate granola. Enjoy!
