Matcha Covered Strawberries
These matcha-covered strawberries are the perfect easy dessert recipe for when you want something that feels a little fancy but only takes a few minutes to throw together. Creamy white chocolate and earthy matcha create a crunchy shell that pairs perfectly with sweet, juicy strawberries—and the green color is just so pretty, especially for spring.
They’re perfect for spring gatherings or lunches, or for making a quick batch for an easy weeknight dessert. Also, if you’re not a matcha person, you can still get the same vibrant green color by adding some natural food coloring to the melted white chocolate.
Matcha covered Strawberries
Makes about 1 dozen strawberries
Ingredients:
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 tsp coconut oil
2 tsp matcha (if you don’t like matcha, you can add some natural green food coloring to white chocolate)
Dozen strawberries, washed and dried
To make:
Line a baking tray with parchment or wax paper.
Create a double boiler by filling a saucepan with a few inches of water, bringing the water to a simmer, and placing a bowl on top.
Add the white chocolate and coconut oil to the bowl and mix until the chocolate is melted. Stir in the matcha and mix until smooth, then remove from the heat.
Remove the bowl from the heat and dip the strawberries in the melted chocolate, then place them onto the lined baking tray to set. Place the chocolate back on the heat if needed to melt again.
Once the chocolate has set, keep the berries refrigerated until ready to enjoy. They’ll last for about 2 days in the fridge.
