Raspberry Chia Jam

raspberry chia jam my moonstone kitchen

Nothing tastes more like summer than this delicious Raspberry Chia Jam. Made with just a handful of ingredients, this deliciously simple jam is naturally sweet and thickened with chia seeds, which add an extra boost of protein, fiber, and omegas.

And the best part is, this easy jam takes less than 10 minutes to make! Simply bring fresh or frozen raspberries to a gentle simmer in a saucepan, then remove from the heat and stir in chia, lemon juice, and (optional) maple syrup and let it sit for a few minutes so the chia can thicken the mixture. Then scoop it into an airtight jar for storage, and enjoy throughout the week!

Recipes to Make with Raspberry Chia Jam

This Raspberry Chia Jam is delicious seed on toast, sandwiches, and oatmeal. Since this jam is naturally sweetened (and doesn’t taste overly sweet), I also love it in smoothies and homemade desserts and snack bars.

Raspberry Chia Jam

Makes about 1 cup (8 oz) of jam

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups raspberries, fresh or frozen

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • Juice from 1/2 lemon (about 2-3 tbsp juice)

To make:

  1. Add the raspberries to a small saucepan and bring to a very gentle simmer over medium heat. Stir until the raspberries are completely dissolved.

  2. Reduce the heat to low and let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently.

  3. Remove the raspberries from the heat and add the syrup, chia seeds, and lemon juice. Mix well until the chia seeds are completely incorporated (the chia seeds will thicken the jam over time). Let sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken and cool.

  4. Store in an airtight jar in the fridge for up to one week. Enjoy!!
