Rose Shower Steamers
These Rose Shower Steamers are a great way to add aromatherapy and calm to your daily routine. They’re easy to make, and they’re wonderful as a gift for a friend or treat for yourself.
Rose Shower Steamers
Ingredients:
1 cup baking soda
1/2 cup citric acid
1/2 cup cornstarch
15 drops rose essential oil
10 drops lavender essential oil
Silicone molds or ice cube trays
Dried roses for decorating
To make:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the baking soda, citric acid, and cornstarch. Add the essential oils and mix well.
Slowly drop water into the mixture while stirring. Adding too much water at once will activate the citric acid. The mixture should hold its shape when squeezed but not be wet.
Sprinkle a thin layer of dried rose petals into the silicone molds. Press the shower steamer mixture firmly into the molds, packing tightly to ensure they hold their shape.
Allow the steamers to dry and harden for two days. Once fully set, gently remove them from the molds.
