Cardamom & Ginger Spiced Hot Apple Cider
Making a batch of hot apple cider has become a tradition of mine to welcome every autumn. In this recipe, cardamom and ginger add even more spice and depth of flavor to a classic fall favorite. It’s comforting and perfect for warming up on chilly autumn afternoons.
Cardamom & ginger Spiced Hot Apple Cider
Makes 2 quarts
Ingredients:
2 quarts fresh apple cider
1 apple, sliced
1 orange, sliced
1 inch ginger, sliced
2 cinnamon sticks
1/2 tsp whole cloves
2-3 cardamom pods
1 tbsp maple syrup
To make:
Add all ingredients to a large pot and bring to a gentle simmer over medium low heat. Simmer for 20 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.
Strain out the solids and enjoy right away.
