Heirloom Tomato Toast
This classic Heirloom Tomato Toast is the perfect end-of-summer snack. Few things are better than sweet, juicy tomatoes at the end of the summer, and this simple recipe really lets them shine.
How to Make Tomato Toast
You can use either dairy or vegan butter and cheese, and any kind of bread you like. Butter each side of the bread and top one side with cheese, then broil for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
Add sliced heirloom tomatoes and garnish with salt, pepper, and fresh herbs (I used thyme). The beauty is in the simplicity with this recipe—the bread, cheese, and herbs complement the sweet, juicy tomatoes perfectly.
I love enjoying this Heirloom Tomato Toast alongside a salad for lunch, or on its own as the perfect summer snack!
